Council meeting on 13th September is postponed following the death of HM Queen

For reasons of protocol in the national period of mourning following the death of HM The Queen, the Council’s meeting due to be held on Tuesday 13th September has been postponed to be held on a date during w/c 26th September.

During the period of mourning, a book of condolence is available for signing at Fordingbridge Town Hall on weekdays from 10am to noon and 5pm to 7pm and at weekends from 10am to 2pm until the day after Her Majesty’s funeral.  They may also be submitted online by visiting https://www.royal.uk/

The Proclamation will be made by the Mayor of Fordingbridge at 2 pm on Sunday 11th September at the Town Hall if residents wish to attend.  New Forest District Council has also advised that a book of condolence is available at the District Council’s offices and that the Proclamation will take place on Sunday 11th September at Lyndhurst at 2 pm.
